Complete Trip Itinerary
Day 1 Sofia
Meeting at the airport, transfer to our hotel, half day tour of Sofia, welcome dinner.
On this day we will take you on unforgettable tour in Sofia city which will give you the most vigorous touch of the city spirit possessed by the Bulgarian capital.

Day 2 Sofia - Iskar gorge - Ledenika cave – Ribaritsa holiday village.
Day 2 is about nature landmarks. You will see the impressive gorge of the Iskar river and mesmerizing formations in one of the most beautiful Bulgarian caves "Ledenika" (meaning "The Frost Cave"). At the end of the day we will rest in the the quiet greenness of the holiday village Ribaritsa.
Day 3 Ribaritsa – Steneto national reserve – Troyan
We take a walk in the Steneto national reserve - the most beautiful in the Balkan Mountain. Due to its unique and virgin state this reserve is included in the World Network of Biosphere reserves of UNESCO. With its centennial trees and unparalleled diversity of species, Steneto is the most virgin spot of the Balkan.
In the evening we will appease your naturally boosted appetite with delicious dinner in the historic town of Troyan.
Day 4 Troyan – Troyan monastery - Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanasi
On this day we will visit Troyan Monastery - the third largest Eastern ortodox monastery in Bulgaria. Then, we will spend most of the day in the beautiful medieval Bulgarian capital - Veliko Tarnovo. You will see the medieval fortress of Tsarevets and The Sound and Light audiovisual show - attraction carried out in the evening that uses lasers, variegated lights, dramatic music and church bells to narrate the story of the fall of Tarnovo to the Ottomans, as well as other key moments in Bulgarian history.
Day 5 Arbanasi – Tryavna
We will spend our time in the traditional Bulgarian towns of Arbanasi and Tryavna. Par excellence ethnographic museums, with their traditional national revival architecture and delicious cuisine, these towns offer a genuine Bulgarian touch.
Day 6 Tryavna - Etara Open Air Ethnographic museum- Shipka peak- village of Shipka
On the sixth day of the tour we will visit The Etara Open Air Ethnographic museum with its great examples of Bulgarian traditional crafts. We will also ascend the 894 stairs leading to the Shipka memorial of liberation – the greatest memorial of Bulgarian liberation from Ottoman rule situated on top of the Shipka peak. Four battles were fought between the Russian army and the Ottomans for control over the crucial Shipka Pass during the Russian-Ottoman War of 1877-78.
Day 7 Shipka - Kazanlak Thracian tomb (UNESCO heritage site) - Starosel Thracian Tomb - Koprivshtica Architectural reserve
Today you will see the most famous Thracian Tombs in Bulgaria. The intricate paintings of the Kazanlak Thracian Tomb and the perfect geometry of the Starosel Thracian Tomb will take you two and a half millennia back in time. You will catch a glimpse of ancient Thrace.
Recent important archeological excavations revealed that Thracian culture and civilization were much more developed and intricate than they were previously thought to be. In the late afternoon we will draw a breath of cool Balkan air walking along the cobblestone streets of Koprivshtica. Koprivshtica is the best example of Bulgarian national revival architecture.
